Wellington Garden Club and Florida Weekly recognize the agency

West Palm Beach, Fla. – Palm Beach County Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon is pleased to announce that her agency has recently been honored with two awards.

On May 20 at the agency’s Westlake Service Center, Gannon accepted an award from the Wellington Garden Club, in conjunction with the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs District X. The Westlake Service Center was the winner of an “Unsolicited Landscape Design Award” in the Public Facility category.

“As an avid gardener myself, I am proud that our service center received this recognition,” said Gannon.  “A beautiful facility and outdoor landscaping are part of the experience we want to create for our clients.”

Joining Gannon at the award ceremony were District X Director Maria Wolfe, Wellington Garden Club President Carol Ralph, District X Unsolicited Landscape Design Chair Stormi Bivin and Westlake City Councilmember Julian Martinez.

Anne Gannon is equally proud that on May 2, Florida Weekly recognized the new North County Service Center in Palm Beach Gardens, which opened in March, as having the “Best Waiting Room” in the county, as part of its Best of 2024 Flamingo Awards.

“The new building offers new hope” for a reduced wait time, according to the article, which notes that up to 40 people can be served at once at the service center.

“We are happy to be recognized for this award, as we worked diligently to create a comfortable, welcoming space for our clients when visiting the service center,” said Gannon.

When clients visit the new facility, they can enjoy a lobby fountain and artwork by participants of Gulfstream Goodwill’s Re-Imagined initiative.

Gannon reminds Palm Beach County residents who need to visit any of the six service centers that reservations are required and can be made by visiting
