West Palm Beach, Fla. – Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon announced today her appointment to the Board of Directors of Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden.
Covering over 16 acres and featuring 6,000 species of tropical and sub-tropical plants, the Mount Botanical Garden’s mission is to inspire and educate through nature. “I salute Mounts Botanical Garden, Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical garden, for understanding how important our connection to the earth, trees and plants are to our survival as a species,” said Gannon. “I’m looking forward to sharing my love of the outside and knowledge of the many plants that are native here in Florida.”
Gannon joins other new board members Claudia Mendozza, CEO of I.Q. Constructions Inc., and Tim Whelan, owner of Art by Nature Garden Center in Palm Beach Gardens. “All three of these extraordinary, talented, insightful community service professionals will be invaluable assets for Mounts Botanical Garden, as we continue to grow and attract new visitors,” said Mounts Botanical Garden Curator/Director Rochelle Wolberg.
Mounts Botanical Garden is located at 531 North Military Trail in West Palm Beach. For more information, please visit www.mounts.org
