Once…Twice…Three Times A Winner!
West Palm Beach, Fla. – Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon is pleased to announce her agency was recently honored with three national awards, including two top prizes, for its communications and marketing products. The agency was recognized by the National Association of Government Communicators’ (NAGC) in its Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards competition.
“It is an honor to be recognized nationally for our communications work,” said Tax Collector Gannon. “This is an outstanding achievement as we were competing against government agencies of all sizes including federal, state and local organizations throughout the country.”
The agency’s Communications team brought home a First Place Award in the Social Media Campaign category for its marketing campaign which educated the public on the ease of use of its vehicle registration ATM-style kiosks located in Publix Supermarkets throughout the county, which allow vehicle owners the convenience to instantly renew their vehicle registration.
It was another First Place Award in the category of Best Grassroots Marketing Campaign category for the agency’s 50-Year Vietnam War Veteran Commemorative Lapel Pin campaign. This educational campaign invited local Vietnam War Veterans to request a commemorative lapel pin in recognition of their service to our country.
The Office received an Award of Excellence in the Annual Report Category for the redesign of its 2019/20 Report to Our Citizens Annual Report. This award recognized the many design and readability improvements made to this annual publication.
“Keeping the community informed through our publications and educational campaigns is priority of our office,” said Gannon. “I am pleased our innovative and creative work is being recognized on a national level.”
Established in 1976, NAGC is the only national not-for-profit association dedicated to advocating, promoting, and recognizing excellence in government communication. NAGC provides world-class communication training to its members and non-member government communicators through its annual Communications School and monthly professional development opportunities. The Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards recognize excellence in the field of government communicators.
