Our Tourist Development Tax department needs an experienced Revenue Auditor in its West Palm Beach-based department.

What is Tourist Development Tax?

Tourist Development Tax strengthens our local economy by supporting Palm Beach County’s tourism industry. Anyone who offers accommodations for short term rental (six months or less) is required to collect Tourist Development Tax from the guest when rent or accommodation charges are collected.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with planning and conducting field audits of local properties to ensure their compliance with payment of tourist taxes.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field with at least two years of prior experience or training that includes auditing, accounting, or tax reporting.  This position also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and occasional local travel.
