Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon today announced the collection of 2019 property taxes will begin as planned Nov. 1, 2019. The total billing this year is $4.2 billion, up $474 million over 2018. Gannon’s office mailed 635,558 tax bills to Palm Beach County property owners this week.
“I encourage clients to save money by taking advantage of the 4% early payment discount in November,” Gannon said. “Clients can also save money when they pay their property taxes on our website using eCheck, which is free.”
Additional early payment discounts are 3% in December, 2% in January and 1% in February. There is no early payment discount in March. The deadline to pay 2019 property taxes is March 31, 2020. Property taxes become delinquent on April 1, 2020.
