Accounting Specialist II
$40,000 – $58,000/yr (non-exempt)
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Processing of returned checks and related correspondence;
- Reconciling and distributing revenues associated with business tax receipts, adult entertainment, tourist development taxes and hunting and fishing fees.
- Preparing journal entries or invoices for allocations adjustments.
- Reconciling and processing motor vehicle, vessel, driver’s license, business tax and tourist development tax refunds.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have at least 60 hours of college level course work in bookkeeping or basic accounting; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience and/or training that includes basic accounting work, bookkeeping, account reconciliation, office administration, and personal computer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
