Serving Our Community
As employees of the Tax Collector’s Office, our commitment to public service is more than a job. It’s our commitment to drive positive change in our community by supporting those in need.
Community Involvement Partners
Every two years we select two non-profit organizations to support through our Community Involvement Partner program. This program is special because every dollar raised and item donated comes directly from employees. We raise funds by participating in Dress Down for Charity, a charity contribution through payroll deduction that gives participants the ability to dress down every Friday. We also conduct fundraising activities such as bake sales and donation drives throughout the year.
Making Every Day Count is a Palm Beach County charity committed to raising funds so Palm Beach County Family and Delinquency Drug Courts can give youth and families affected by addiction a second chance. We kicked off our support by hosting a week of themed dress down days for employees; to participate they were encouraged to donate to the charity, this provided our staff with a fun way to get involved and make a difference.
Living Hungry works to eliminate food insecurity experienced by local homeless school children. We conducted two donation drives resulting in the collection of thousands of personal hygiene products and enough non-perishable food items to pack 302 meal kits. Our combined cash and in-kind donations to Living Hungry totals $13,729.
