Serving Our Community
As employees of the Tax Collector’s Office, our commitment to public service is more than a job. It’s our commitment to drive positive change in our community by supporting those in need.
Community Involvement Partners
Every two years we select two non-profit organizations to support through our Community Involvement Partner program. This program is special because every dollar raised and item donated comes directly from employees. We raise funds by participating in Dress Down for Charity, a charity contribution through payroll deduction that gives participants the ability to dress down every Friday. We also conduct fundraising activities such as bake sales and donation drives throughout the year.
Families First of Palm Beach County provides assistance to local families, to help them become self-sufficient and provide safe, loving homes for their children. Through two donation drives, we collected thousands of baby items, toys and schools supplies. Our combined cash and in-kind donations to Families First totaled $14,347.
Living Hungry works to eliminate food insecurity experienced by local homeless school children. We conducted two donation drives resulting in the collection of thousands of personal hygiene products and enough non-perishable food items to pack 302 meal kits. Our combined cash and in-kind donations to Living Hungry totals $13,729.
Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts
In addition to supporting our two Community Involvement Partners, we also came to the aid of those who were devastated by Hurricane Dorian. We raised $4,200 through a special dress down event during the month of November. We donated all proceeds to the Salvation Army’s Bahamian relief efforts.
