Serving Our Community
As employees of the Tax Collector’s Office, our commitment to public service is more than a job. It’s our commitment to drive positive change in our community by supporting those in need.
Community Involvement Partners
Every two years we select two non-profit organizations to support through our Community Involvement Partner program. This program is special because every dollar raised and item donated comes directly from employees. We raise funds by participating in Dress Down for Charity, a charity contribution through payroll deduction that gives participants the ability to dress down every Friday. We also conduct fundraising activities such as bake sales and donation drives throughout the year.
Take Stock In Children is a nonprofit mentoring, college success, and college scholarship organization dedicated to transforming Florida one student at a time. Working statewide throughout Florida, our mission is to break the cycle of poverty for low-income, underrepresented, academically qualified students by providing opportunities for degree attainment through postsecondary education.
Living Hungry works to eliminate food insecurity experienced by local homeless school children. We conducted two donation drives resulting in the collection of thousands of personal hygiene products and enough non-perishable food items to pack 302 meal kits. Our combined cash and in-kind donations to Living Hungry totals $13,729.
