Dear Friends:

Last month, I invited you to provide feedback regarding Tax Talk, and I received more than 1,800 responses, so thanks to all of you who provided me with this valuable feedback. My staff and I will be reviewing the information and will look for ways to enhance Tax Talk each month. Next month, we will announce our three randomly selected winners from the survey submissions so watch for that in our August issue.

Enjoy your summer and have a safe and happy Fourth of July.

Sincerely,

Anne Signature

FUN IN & OUT OF THE HOT SUMMER SUN

There is a reason we love to live in sunny Palm Beach County, but the summer months can be a bit much. For sun lovers and those who prefer indoor fun here’s a list of a few activities happening this July:

Tutankhamun: The Last Exhibition
This year marks 100 years since the discovery of King Tut’s tomb. In commemoration of this colossal archeological find, this film offers a rare look at his tomb’s treasure trove. See the 150 items that make-up the biggest international exhibit dedicated to the wonders uncovered with Pharoah Tutankhamun.

Once…Twice…Three Times A Winner!

I am thrilled that our agency has been honored with three Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards by the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC).  Our Communications team submitted three entries and all three entries were selected as winners, including two top prizes for our signature communications.

Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards BadgeOur entries competed against government agencies from around the country including the Naval Air Warfare Center and the Texas Department of Health – very impressive!

Our first win was a First Place Award in the Social Media Campaign category for our MV Express Kiosk Vehicle Registration campaign which educated the public on the ease of use of our kiosks located in Publix Supermarkets throughout the county.

Next up was another First Place Award in the category of Best Grassroots Marketing Campaign for our 50-Year Vietnam War Veteran Commemorative Lapel Pin campaign. This educational campaign invited local Vietnam War Veterans to request a commemorative lapel pin in recognition of their service to our country. We were honored to recognize more than 250 Vietnam Veterans with lapel pins.

The trifecta was achieved when we received an award of the redesign of our 2019/20 Annual Report. This award recognized the many design and readability improvements made to this popular publication.

I am so proud that our agency has been recognized for our innovative and creative work designed to inform and educate the public.
