Tax Collector Launches on Instagram
West Palm Beach, FL - - - Anne M. Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector, today announced the official launch of its Instagram account (@TaxPBC). The agency added the Instagram account to share photos and videos that visually depict a story, offer public service reporting, share access to our “In the Driver’s Seat” App for driver study tools and safety tips and showcase that first license milestone for Instagrammers to share their experiences.
The Instagram account presents an opportunity to inspire and capture beautiful and unusual driving destinations within Palm Beach County, showcase the good works of the local charities that receive our employee “Dress Down” contributions and to utilize infographics to highlight customer service experiences. The Instagram account is also an opportunity to connect with new residents and increase awareness of Tourist Development Tax by sharing the beauty of Palm Beach County.
This announcement is the next step in the agency’s plan to utilize social media and technology to interact with residents and visitors about our services, operations and Palm Beach County. Instagram complements our existing social media presence on Twitter and LinkedIn.
Instagram now has over 400 million users. Some 28% of online adults use Instagram. Over half of Americans aged 12 to 24 have Instagram accounts (Edison Research and Triton Digital). Instagram reaches 83 percent of U.S. teens in wealthy households (Piper Jaffray) and Instagram users interact with posts 18 times more often on Instagram than they do on Facebook, according to a report from research firm L2.
