Delinquent Tangible Personal Property Tax Information
WEST PALM BEACH, FL. Effective April 2, 2013, all outstanding 2012 tangible personal property taxes are delinquent. Businesses with unpaid 2012 Tangible Personal Property Taxes are urged to meet their property tax obligation by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013. Failure to meet this deadline will result in additional fees and penalties.
Delinquent 2012 Tangible Personal Property Taxes must be paid by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 to prevent the issuing of tax warrants.
Tax warrants are issued in June on all delinquent 2012 Tangible Personal Property Taxes. Tax warrants direct the levy and seizure of the property for the amount of unpaid taxes and costs. The Court approved warrants grant the Tax Collector the authority to seize and sell the property.
Mailed payments for delinquent 2012 Tangible Personal Property Taxes must be received in the Tax Collector’s office no later than 5:00 p.m. May 31, 2013. Delinquent tangible personal property taxes must be paid by cash, money order, certified check, bank draft, US postal order, cashier’s check, personal check, wire transfer or online at www.pbctax.com. A postmark on a mailed payment is not proof of timely payment of delinquent Tangible Personal Property Taxes.
