The designation is a blue "V" placed on the lower right hand corner of the driver license or state ID card. The veteran designation is authorized by Chapter 2011-94, Florida Statutes.

That represents total tax revenue of 3.07 billion,” said Gannon. “The Ad Valorem tax, calculated by the Property Appraiser, represents $2.7 billion in property values. The Non Ad Valorem tax, a flat fee per acre or housing unit, makes up the balance, or $330 million.”

Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector for Palm Beach County, reached a significant settlement agreement with major Online Travel Companies (OTC), also referred to as Third Party Intermediaries. Defendants include Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline and Travelocity. Defendants agreed to collectively pay the county over $1.9 million in uncollected Tourist Development Tax aka “bed tax”.

West Palm Beach , FL - I want to make sure all Palm Beach County businesses are aware that delinquent Tangible Personal Property Tax (TPP) collections will be managed by an outside provider effective April 1, 2012. The outside provider, Revenue Recovery Solutions Inc., provides similar services in Florida to other Constitutional Tax Collector agencies. The company does not receive any tax dollars for payment. The company earns revenue through adding a 20 percent fee of the total delinquent taxes dues. That fee is paid by the delinquent taxpayer.
2011 Property Tax Notice – Time Sensitive
The 2011 Property Tax Season is coming to an end. Anyone mailing a payment MUST have a postmark of March 31, 2012 or earlier. Because the statutory deadline falls on a weekend (March 31, 2012), our service centers will be open until 5:00 p.m. April 2, 2012, to accept payment in person*. April 2nd is the last day to make a 2011 property tax payment before the tax becomes delinquent.
